Gourmet Snowshoe Adventures

We invite our guests to enjoy three new snowshoe adventures – each of which combine wellness-promoting outdoor activity and scenic splendor with après-snowshoe gourmet decadence found only at Beaver Creek. The adventure begins at the Beaver Creek Nordic Sports Center, situated steps from both the Beaver Creek Village and The Osprey at Beaver Creek. Guests of all ability levels enjoy a guided snowshoe tour amidst forested scenery throughout the Beaver Creek base area, as well as a scenic ride aboard the Buckaroo Express gondola. Each ninety-minute snowshoe tour offers an engaging narration of Beaver Creek’s history and unique natural environment.

Following each tour, The Osprey Fireside Grill welcomes guests into its slope-side, mountain-modern elegance – where Executive Chef Conor Shedor presents decadent culinary and wine pairings befitting of a post-snowshoe hike.

Winter Wine Excursions
Wine Excursion guests are treated to a flight of five select wines to be savored with gourmet charcuterie boards of assorted Colorado cheeses, cured meats, honeycomb, artisan breads, and flavored oils. Guests are guided through the tasting by The Osprey Executive Chef, Conor Shedor, who is renowned for his creative pairings. Each delectable pairing is enjoyed amidst The Osprey’s casual, modern elegance aside the glowing fireplace. Winter Wine Excursions are offered Thursdays throughout winter, 3 – 5:30 p.m.; seatings in The Osprey Fireside Grill begin at 4:30 p.m.

Fondue + Shoe
Fondue + Shoe guests are treated to three varieties of fondue: three-cheese blend of aged Gruyère, raclette and Fontina; roasted artichoke – a signature recipe at The Osprey Fireside Grill; and cheddar of medium-sharp, Colorado-sourced varieties. Guests enjoy their choice of a craft beer or artisan wine pairing, and each fondue is enjoyed with a selection of toasted artisan breads, gougères and seasonal vegetables. Imparting the spirit of authentic European fondue gatherings, guests share a communal table and children ages six and older are welcome. Fondue + Shoe is offered Fridays throughout winter, 3:30 – 7 p.m.; seatings in The Osprey Fireside Grill begin at 5:30 p.m.

Women’s Wednesday Walk + Wine
Wednesday Walk + Wine guests enjoy a flight of three select wines with pairings such as assorted goat and cow cheeses and spreads, tapenade and flavored oils atop a selection of artisan breads, cured meats and honeycomb. Women’s Wednesday Walk + Wine is offered Wednesdays throughout winter, 12:30 – 3 p.m.; seatings in The Osprey Fireside Grill begin at 2 p.m.

Beaver Creek Early-Season Snow Conditions Best In Almost 15 Years

The El Niño we wrote about a few weeks ago could be referred to as El NiYES if you are a fan of great ski conditions.

Tomorrow is an exciting day. It marks the official opening day for Beaver Creek Resort.  And get this… Skiers and riders will enjoy more than 720 acres of terrain – this is the most terrain offered on opening day since 2002.

This is because Beaver Creek has already received more than 50 inches of natural snowfall. Yummy. Couple that with one of North America’s most sophisticated snowmaking infrastructures, and Beaver Creek will enjoy conditions second to none.

Opening day invites guests to access all levels of terrain beginning at 9 a.m. via:
Buckaroo Gondola (Lift #1)                Rose Bowl Express (Lift #4)
Centennial Express (Lift #6)              Cinch Express (Lift #8)
Strawberry Park Express (Lift #12)    Bachelor Gulch Express (Lift #16)
Selection of Beginner Surface Lifts

Opening Day Presents 5,000 Chocolate Chip Cookies
Opening day will also host one of Beaver Creek’s most-anticipated traditions – the 12th Annual World’s Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Competition.

Tasting and judging begins at 2 p.m. in the Beaver Creek Village, during which 5,000 gourmet chocolate chip cookies will be served.  Participation is complimentary and all guests are invited.

Chocolate chip cookies are Beaver Creek’s perennial tradition and in addition to the annual competition, the resort’s cherished Cookie Time will continue to serve warm, freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies daily at 3 p.m. – during which time chefs stroll throughout the Beaver Creek Village with silver platters of the signature treat, offering them to all guests and passersby.

Sweet! Make sure you come out and get yours.
Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony Scheduled for Friday, Nov. 27
